I know they’re not connected at all but Tony Scott directed 3 thrillers in a row staring Denzel Washington and I love all of them:

Deja Vu (2006) The Taking of Pelham 123 (2009) Unstoppable (2010)

Something about thrillers from that era that’s comforting to me and I would love your recommendations! Other favorites are:

Source Code (2010) Vantage Point (2008) Panic Room (2002) Red Eye (2005)

Running Scared (2006) is one of the greatest anxiety inducing, white knuckle rides of its genre. And I'm not even talking about the curve ball they throw you out of nowhere that may be the single greatest revenge fantasy ever committed to film.

There’s another Denzel movie called Out of Time that’s a similar vibe to those other ones (although not as good). And if you haven’t seen The Equalizer movies with him, I think you’d like them. There’s a couple Harrison Ford movies from the 90s that are great, Clear & Present Danger, Patriot Games, and Air Force One. White House Down. Lucky Number Slevin. Broken Arrow. The Rock. Those are all I can think of off the top of my head.

Robin Williams gives an amazing performance as a photo developer who becomes obsessed with a family.

What Lies Beneath (2000) is a good one. Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer. More suspense than thriller.
